Research assistant, RA
Eduard-Gabriel Stănescu is a Master’s student in Artificial Intelligence at the Politehnica University of Bucharest, currently pursuing his studies within a double-degree framework that includes a collaboration period with Université Côte d’Azur in Ubiquitous Computing. His academic focus combines applied artificial intelligence, data-driven systems, and distributed computing, with a strong emphasis on real-world impact.
His background includes applied AI and engineering experience gained through industry roles at Vodafone Romania and SAP, where he worked on conversational AI systems, analytics platforms, network automation, and AI-enhanced decision-making solutions in telecommunications and enterprise environments. These roles allowed him to bridge theoretical machine learning concepts with production-grade systems and large-scale infrastructures.
Alongside his industry experience, Eduard has been actively involved in academia as a Teaching Assistant in Data Structures and Algorithms, as well as Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, supporting hands-on learning and mentoring students in both software and hardware-oriented courses.
His current interests focus on advanced AI systems, including applied machine learning, intelligent networks, AI-driven automation, and the integration of AI with embedded and distributed systems. Looking forward, he aims to pursue work and research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, large-scale systems, and innovation-driven projects, with a strong interest in building scalable, impactful technologies that connect research, industry, and society.
